Five Barcelona players at risk of missing UCL semi-final first leg due to suspension

Barcelona is now returning its focus to the UEFA Champions League after defeating Cadiz by a slim 1-0 last night.

After winning the first leg 3-2, the club is preparing for the pivotal second-leg matchup against Paris Saint-Germain.

In the semifinals, five players face suspension
It is anticipated that Barcelona would focus defensive strength in this encounter because even a draw would guarantee a desired semifinal position.

They have to be cautious, though, since five important players are in a hazardous scenario where they might be suspended in the fictitious semifinals.

The players in issue are Ronald Araujo, Lamine Yamal, Joao Felix, Ferran Torres, and Frenkie de Jong.

Having received two yellow cards apiece in the Champions League this season, Frenkie de Jong, Ferran Torres, Joao Felix, Ronald Araujo, and Lamine Yamal are all aware of the fine line between discipline and fitness.

If Barcelona advances, they could not be permitted to play in the first leg of the semifinals against Atletico Madrid or Borussia Dortmund if they receive another booking in the PSG match.

The players have a lot on the line because Andreas Christensen and Sergi Roberto were already suspended for the second match.

In light of this, it’s critical that these five players exercise caution since failing to receive a yellow card in the next game would reset the disciplinary count and spare them from suspension due to booking.
