The article does make it clear that Barcelona is no longer as interested in the Englishman. It seems the Catalans are unsure whether or not to sign the forward since they anticipate strong opposition.
Man United is still a possibility.
Although Atletico is still a possibility, it’s important to remember that Manchester United hasn’t completely thrown out the idea of having Greenwood on the club next season.
Ideally, the Red Devils would like to cut the player permanently. However, given the player’s contentious background, they could not receive any attractive offers.
In light of that, Man United may decide to stick with Greenwood for the upcoming campaign. Should they decide to bring the Englishman back this summer, the club is aware of the problems that need to be resolved.
However, Greenwood might yet return to Old Trafford if they are unable to secure an offer.
