Barcelona set sights on 20-year-old South American attacking talent, could cost €40-50 million

Barcelona has taken it upon themselves to search the world for gifted young football players in order to avoid passing up the chance to sign the next great thing.

They have been connected to players like Guilherme Ruck of Real Valladolid, Thalys of Palmeiras, and Estevao Willian. They are also very certain to acquire defensive standout Alvaro Gomez from the same team.

Barcelona has Asprilla in its sights.
Barcelona is reportedly interested in 20-year-old Colombian offensive midfielder Yaser Asprilla, who plays for Watford in England, according to SPORT.

In January 2022, Asprilla joined Watford from Colombian team Envigado on a loan agreement that was extended to a permanent one for €3 million in the summer of that same year.

The 20-year-old, who plays in England’s second level, the EFL Championship, is a flexible offensive player who can be used anywhere in the final third of the ground. He has emerged as a promising potential.

Asprilla has drawn the attention of the Barcelona technical staff with a total of six goals and five assists in 34 games this season across all competitions.

The Colombian is one of the top players in the second division of English football and is renowned for his natural dribbling abilities. It’s said that Barça has great expectations for young Asprilla and that he’s prepared to go to the top.

It will cost €40–50 million for Asprilla.
Barcelona has become fond of Asprilla as a result of his achievements this season, but they also think the Premier League will be interested in the young player.

Watford would not accept a deal for the teenage attacker for less than €40–50 million, according to sources from Colombia.

The Hornets are hoping to strike a similar deal to that of Joao Pedro, the young Brazilian who signed for €4 million but was later transferred for a record €34 million to Brighton & Hove Albion.
